Who are you and why should I trust you?
Excite Creative is design studio based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. We've been designing, developing, and coding for about four years. We've made everything from Software as a Service solutions to social networks and brochure-style websites. Here's our current toolset: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Taco HTML Edit, TextMate, PHP, MySQL, SQLite, Ruby, Javascript, jQuery, Coffeescript, SaSS, CSS3, Ruby on Rails, and Terminal.

Can I just pay for the site design and forget the monthly fee?
Your website will always have server costs and domain fees (whether its an Excite site or not). We would be more than happy to host your website for $30/month, but maintenance work would be completed at $75/hour. At this time, we will only work on sites hosted on our own server.

Wouldn't it be cheaper for me to use Wordpress?
Yes. You could buy or have a template built for the Wordpress platform. We've used Wordpress before (for ourselves & clients). We recommend it when a site needs to be published quickly, with little regard of how it looks. It's quite robust and has many features, but we've found it too slow and complex in the long run. There's too many things to turn on and off. We prefer simpler solution.
